I am a self taught, motivated and passionate individual - a good communicator who is keen to learn and experience anything new. A conceptual and original thinker I work well as part of a team or independently and having worked for a wide range of clients and agencies in a variety of roles, along with running my own business, my experience is a broad and valuable asset to any potential client.

OPC - PRINTED & EMAIL NEWSLETTER & ADS

Shown here, on the left,  is one of the advertisements I undertook for OPC and on the right, is the cover design of their printed newsletter. I have introduced this diagonal line to their brand to give it a fresh appeal, create visual tension and to keep it in line with their current logo.

The images here show the quarterly html email newsletter I created, coded and managed delivery of for OPC.  The campaign has been extremely successful with well over double industry average figures in click throughs and open rates. Shown here is a double page spread within the newsletter showing contract wins over the last quarter. The diagonal lines throughout echo the brand and logo angles where possible. Here above is the sign off page of the newsletter - a clear bold voice within the industry with clear contact and connection methods for all viewers.

HEADSPACE - WEBSITE DESIGN

Shown here are two slightly different ideas for a rework of the top unit of the Headspace homepage. Clearly communicating what devices they cater for, the benefits and features available and keeping their brand style, it was part of a new psychology - a layering of page information.

Shown here are the two further layered elements that appear on the layered style Headspace homepage, focussing on firstly, the user journey and secondly the clients and exposure of the product. The lovely people at Headspace asked me to look at revising their homepage for them and this was part of one of the concepts I presented,  it shows key purchase/sign up options along with an illustration of the user journey. Finally this shows another part of the homepage visual I worked on for Headspace, showing access to other sections and key clients/partners.

LEGASEE - WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Legasee is a charity that records on video the stories of our war veterans, preserving their memories for the benefit of us and generations to come. I was tasked with delivering the entire website including strategy, planning, project management, design and front end coding.

I was tasked with delivering the entire website including strategy, planning, project management, design and front end coding. Shown here is a screen shot from the actual video archive, the back end technology was supplied by my development partner Daniel Scott at Carbon IT. I do love the clear colour key alongside this gallery of heroes. Shown here is the donation page for the site, showing a 'behind the scenes' feel to what goes into interviewing a veteran along with associated clear figures to actually support this process. through donations. I love this shot of a bomber crew returning from a sortie and all raising thumbs up, whether that is for being alive or for a successful mission who knows but I do know the image works wonderfully with the registration form, giving a user a thumbs up for registering with this wonderful cause that I am proud to say I am a part of.

VIRGIN MEDIA - UK website & various

A stand alone flash presentation for Virgin Media's stand at the Ideal Home Show at Earls Court. It supported their 'vision of the future home' showing what effect much faster broadband speeds would feel like. Banner advertising for the Virgin Media Shorts competition, an initiative to promote and to encourage independent film makers by showcasing this hotbed of UK filmmaking talent I was asked to develop an internal branding initiative for a forum that would enable employees within Virgin Media to speak up about issues that they feel strongly about, here you see a selection of the proposed logo designs in their most basic format. Shown here is development work I undertook for the UK Virgin Media website, my task was to enhance clarity and cohesion across the services. I felt I helped simplify user choices and subsequently helped to increase understanding and ultimately sales.

GLOBAL BLUE - GLOBAL WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Global Blue - My profile page
Global Blue is an international shopping and tourism development business with a unique world wide tax refund system. I was asked to assist and advise on their global website with development of design, front end coding, usability and the user interface on a plethora of site areas. To be honest it is hard to give justice to the breadth and depth of thought and work that went into this project within the space available. Shown here is a redesign for their tax refund calculator. Improvements to usability, functionality and overall look and feel were made. Shown here is the search page I redesigned for Global Blue, critical attention to typography, space and clarity was given, along with introducing intuitive filters to enable users to understand and filter their results easily. I designed CSS print functionality pages for the Global Blue website to improve legibility and the way articles looked once a user decided they wished to read the content on paper rather than on screen.
